Program 2019
The Monterey Data Conference is an annual invitation-only meeting in Monterey which brings together researchers from DOE national laboratories, facilities, universities, and industry to showcase and discuss the latest advances and open challenges in scientific data analysis and computing.
The inaugural theme for 2019 is Deep Learning for Science. Over the past several years we have seen rapid innovations in this field which promise to transform many scientific disciplines and enable new kinds of scientific discovery. At the same time, the field is still in its adolescence, and various challenges remain to fully realize deep learning solutions in scientific workflows.
The conference program will feature invited talks on cutting edge deep learning methods relevant for science, applications of deep learning in scientific domains such as physics, chemistry, and bioscience, and panel discussions on hardware, software, and applications in experimental facilities.
